July 5th update:

  • Lindsay and Drew made it official (wedding on August 9th)
  • Mark, Stephanie and Clayson came out to go through the Manti Temple July 2nd

  • They are expecting their 2nd (a baby boy)
  • They are coming for the wedding also
  • Nicole and Chad are both working this summer and staying busy
  • Karen and I went to Moab last weekend for a short trip

The Colorado River was running at 94,000 cfs this year and on a normal year it is about 30,000 cfs this time of the year. The Confluence of the Green River and the Colorado is in a remote area of Canyon Land National Park. The only way to see it and Cataract Canyon is by air or by raft. You can see from the photos a difference in the color of the water at the confluence. Some of the other pictures are of Dead Horse Point, Island in the Sky, The Maze, Arches National Park, the pot ash ponds (bright blue).
